Peter Rabbit™ is coming to toy museums across the country!

The setting of the picture book series "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" is the rich natural forests of England.

The collaboration was decided upon as the message of Peter Rabbit™, "Friend to Nature - May the nature where Peter Rabbit lives be protected forever," and the Toy Museum's philosophy of wood education, which is to inherit the wood culture and foster a spirit of cherishing nature and pass it on to the next generation, resonated with each other.

The Tokyo Toy Museum will be hosting a collaborative traveling event called "Peter Rabbit™: Friends with Nature" at 12 "sister toy museums" across the country, including the Tokyo Toy Museum.

What is the nationwide tour event "Friends with Nature: Peter Rabbit™"?

In addition to the interactive events featuring Peter Rabbit™, there will be a picture-story show based on the picture book series "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and a wood education event where visitors can experience the charm of wood. A "wooden pendant making" workshop will be held in relay format at each museum using scraps of wood of different shapes from various tree species. The wooden pendant will be your own original design with a Peter Rabbit™ stamp. Peter Rabbit™ will help create a fun experience that will spark an interest in nature and forests while being surrounded by the scent of wood.

About "Friend to Nature"

Beatrix Potter, author of Peter Rabbit™, had a strong interest in nature conservation more than 100 years ago, before the word “sustainable” became widespread. She used royalties from her picture books to purchase land in the Lake District, England, where Peter Rabbit is set, and donated over 4,300 acres of land to nature conservation organizations, protecting the scenery as it appears in the picture books. The beautiful scenery she loved remains unchanged to this day.

The author's love for nature is embodied in the phrase "Friend to Nature," and the company is working to ensure that the picture book-like nature in which Peter and his friends live will be protected forever.
